Cavallo belongs to the archipelago of the Lavezzi Islands at the extreme South of Corsica, between Bonifacio (6km) and Porto Vecchio. Made of granitic rocks carvedsculpted by the wind over the years, Cavallo island (112ha) remains a place apart. It is a peaceful oasis thanks to the limited numberquota of properties allowed and their perfect integration in the bush to preserve the magic settings. All motorised transports are banned on the island which is only accessible by boat.

Facilities : Hotel & Spa, 2 restaurants, grocery shop, tennis courts, soccer field, diving center, marina with boat, jetski and bike rentals. One of the most beautiful golf course in the Mediterranean Sea, the Golf de Sperone, is at only 15 min by boat.


THE VILLA

The Villa Michelange is located on a 6000 sqm ground only 50 m away from the crystalline waters of the white sand beach of Palma and 100 m from the bay of Zeri. Perfectly integrated in the vegetation, it enjoys 360° panoramic views on the Mediterranean Sea. Built on two levels around a magnificent granite rock, the house counts 5 bedrooms spread over 300 sqm.

Designed by the French architect Jean-Marc Roques, the Villa was built in 1989 in the elegant style of Cavallo, combining the local stones with red cedar wood. Its wooden tiled roof exposes its apparent timber frame.The tiles are made of wood and the roof has exposed timbers. All rooms are open to the outside to enjoy the magic and amazing views.

ACCESS

Cavallo is accessible by boat. Shuttles are secured for residents at fixed time or on reservation. They leave from Corsica (Piantarella 15 min) or from Sardinia (Santa Teresa 25 min). The closest airports are Figari in Corsica and Olbia in Sardinia. The island can also be reached by helicopter, privately-owned or rented from one of the closest airports.
