Porto San Paolo
Porto San Paolo overlooks the north-westerns coast of the island and resumes the typical architectural style of Costa Smeralda. It is just 15 km away from Olbia as well as San Teodoro. The picturesque village is set against the backdrop of the wonderful and majestic TAVOLARA island, which is reflected in the emerald-green sea that sometimes takes golden shades. This sea-facing village has a marina with related facilities with tourist boats heading daily for the Tavolara island, the main attraction of this length of coast. Past the charming borough is the entrance to the Don Diego beach, whereas on the border with the municipality of San Teodoro, close to hamlet Vaccileddi, is the beautiful Porto Taverna beach. On the average, the beaches are all small in size, punctuated with low pink granite cliffs. The village of Porto San Paolo, still a typical fishermen centre, provides all the major services such as markets, pharmacy, emergency medical service, shops and restaurants. Olbia’s harbour and the Costa Smeralda airport are within a few minutes reach.
