Vignola
A few kilometres from the sea, Vignola- Aglientu is situated in a predominantly granite area where the landscape is characterised by majestic rocks and green valleys running down towards either sandy beaches with high dunes or sometimes imposing cliffs.
The 22 km long coastline is quite well-known for the beauty of its beaches and scenery, but despite the large numbers of tourists, long sections have remained unspoilt.
The name Aglientu goes back to a Latin root meaning white, also present in numerous other place names in the area (Montagliu", "Agliacana", "Frati Agli" and "Agliu").
