Porto Rotondo

Discover Porto Rotondo

Porto Rotondo stands on the northern coast of the big promontory called Mount Ladu, in the north area of the city of Olbia, leaning towards the Tyrrhenian Sea to the north, and limited to the west by the Gulf of Cugnana and to the east by the Gulf of Marinella.

In the Sardinian tourist reality, Porto Rotondo is an important economic and urban choice made in the delicate context of the environment of Gallura, beautifully set in a nature among the most beautiful of Sardinia.

Quiet and discreet, Porto Rotondo stands in the sixties by the work of Counts Dona' delle Rose and soon becomes one of the most renowned and exclusive tourist resorts of Sardinia. The village, built around the homonymous square, is surrounded by an centuries-old grove of junipers. A splendid example of how you can combine environmental protection and modern residential building, that characterizes the village: houses with uneven walls, arches, niches, stairways, terraces.

The squares have captivating names: of the Marina, of the Casbah, St. Mark and Rudalza. Porto Rotondo is also famous for the lovely outdoor cafes, boutiques and art galleries but especially for the harbor which boasts 633 berths. A few kilometers from the center many beautiful sandy beaches dot the granite coast up to Punta Volpe and numerous are the bays and coves that dot the Gulf of Marinella, creating a scenery of unparalleled beauty.
